Welcome to the Minority Faculty & Staff Association Website
The Minority Faculty and Staff Association began in 1976, under the leadership of Retired School of Education Professor Edward Jenkins. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life and campus climate by promoting participation and inclusion of all people of color in the workforce at the University. To that end we support the faculty/staff recruitment and retention efforts, networking and mentoring among faculty, staff, and students and lastly, establishing and maintaining positive community links. Today, the Minority Faculty and Staff Association sponsor activities such as:
- Student scholarships
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. annual commemoration program
- Social and networking events for faculty & staff members
- Statewide bi-annual networking conference
The Minority Faculty and Staff Association takes pride in its talented membership and works diligently for the betterment for all faculty, staff, and students of color at the University at Buffalo.
